Nokia achieves world record LTE (4G) speed of 3.79 Gbps

Finnish Telecom equipment vendor Nokia today achieved a record 3.79 Gbps of throughput in the LTE network set-up of South Korean Telecom operator SK Telecom.

" LTE throughput leader Nokia sets world record with SK Telecom of close to 4 Gbps using TDD-FDD carrier aggregation" said the tweet from the official account of Nokia.

Its a world record throughput on LTE technology and it is almost 400 times faster than what Indian Telecom operators like AIRTEL and Videocon are offering at present.

This throughput speed of 3.79 Gbps enables users to download a full lenghth 5GB HD movie in 11 seconds,  a Bollywood movie of 600MB can now be downloaded in even less seconds.

To achieve this throughput Nokia used its single RAN solution including it's Flexi multi radio 10 Base Station. it aggregated carriers on the spectrum and used MIMO technology to achieve this record breaking speed.
