ZTE Open: World's first smartphone with Firefox OS released

There is a new addition to the Operating Systems for smartphones and it is none other than Firefox. Yes, you read it right. World's first smartphone having Firefox OS is released in Spain. It's name is ZTE Open.

Currently it is available in Spain and it will soon be launched in some other Latin American countries. It is priced at 90$ and is aimed at the customers who are buying their first smartphone.

Some of its specifications are:

- 3.5-inch touchscreen with 480x320 resolution

- 3.2MP camera

- 256MB RAM 

- 512MB flash memory which can be extended up to 4GB microSD card that comes with the phone

It also has in-built facebook in it and soon it will also have WhatsApp. So it is a low end smartphone but it is just a start. And there will be many more smartphone with this operating systems. Hope they will launch a phone with better specifications soon and also launch their phones in India!
