There won't be any tech enthusiast in India who doesn't know Aakash tablet. This was the tablet that Govt. of India had planned for students. The company who was manufacturing these tablets was Datawind owned by Suneet Singh Tuli. You might also remembering our hands on review of Aakash 3 tablet from this company.
Now this company has launched 3 budget dual SIM smartphones in India. These are named as PocketSurfer 5X, PocketSurfer 5 and PocketSurfer 3G5. All the three handsets have 5 inch screen.
Interestingly PocketSurfer 5X runs on Linux. Below is a quick comparison of these handsets:
So now you have for more choice in the budget smartphone segment; though we are not sure about the support reliability of Datawind. We have observed lots of unsatisfied Aakash customers right from placing the order.
