As you know that in India, the smartphone shipment has doubled in Jan - Mar 2014 compared to year ago, this year India has bough 1 crore 45 lakhs smartphone just in Jan to Mar 2014. Our Today's article aims at a user group who is not a power user and who has upgraded to smartphone from feature phone. In this series " how to use smartphone smartly" we will tell you how to get most out of your android smartphone to increase your productivity.
Today we will take a look at "Google Now" which is an intelligent personal assistant in your smartphone, which comes by default if your handset's operating system is Jelly Bean 4.1 and above.
To get the best our of your Android you must have Internet ON.
Google Now offers you localized information based on where you are and what you need. To launch the Google Now just click on the google search icon in your handset, if you are using it first time, it will ask you some questions. Based on your answers it will create localized content for you.
For example, it will ask you how do you commute? by bike, public transit or car. based on your answer it will show you details of Public Transport of driving directions to you, where you normally commute like office home or any new place.
If you travel by bus, it will show you which buses are available and when?
Next is it will show you information on weather and near by restaurants which helps you to plan outing!
To further fine tune your google now just click on the wizard like icon on the right side of the screen where it will store your preferences
You can add your favorite cricket teams, movies related information, if you are money buzz, you can add stocks on which you want to keep eye.
All your required information at a go! on Google Now! Just Give it a try! and you will like it!
