Detailed Process to update Micromax A116 Canvas HD to Jelly Bean 4.2

Yes, the best smart phone is India is going to be far more better, your favorite Micromax Canvas HD A116 which is running on Android 4.1 is now getting an update to Jelly Bean 4.2, the latest Android OS. This update will start from this week.

This time micromax is not going to share their FTP server path with people to make the upgrade easier, this time you will have to take your Canvas HD to nearest super fone service center to get it upgraded.

Now if you choose against and would you like to update your self, we present you the exclusive process to update your Micromax Canvas HD to Jelly Bean 4.2, remember, this is not available anywhere in India, exclusively at Gadgets Freak.

For this you will need following Software, so please download them all before you begin...

(1)  Stock Rom V2 of Micromax A116 Click here to download

(2)  SP-Tool for A116HD Click here to download

(3) Driver for Micromax A116 Click here to download

Now Step by Step Procedure is as follows...

(1) Install the driver for your Canvas HD in your computer which we downloaded in Step 3

(2) Now extract the file which you have downloaded in Step 1 to the place wherever you want.

(3) Extract the SP tool, and run it as an administrator...

(4) Click on scatter-loading and open MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc file, Check the snapshot below.

Now in your handset,  Go to Settings --> Development ---> USB Debugging, Tick Mark the USB Debugging if it is not.

Now switch off your phone and click on Download button on Flash tool.

Do not disconnect your phone from PC while this is in progress.

When you switch on your phone for the first time after upgrade, it will take longer time to start and you will see super phone logo for longer duration. But Don't worry. It will start soon! 

And when you are done!
