How to change the default MIUI launcher on Redmi 1S?

Hello Readers!
So those who are lucky enough to buy Redmi 1S from flipkart started receiving the phones. We too got our piece! And we are impressed with this phone...
But many of you would be surprised to see there is no app drawer in the MIUI android version! It looks and feels strange to use all your apps from the home screens. It looks like as below:
For the persons who used an android phone before, this type of UI is annoying. So we tried to figure out if we can install a third party launcher. We were able to install Nova launcher and it changed the UI and app drawer was also shown. But whenever the Home key is pressed it was getting back to default MIUI launcher.
After a while we figured out how to make Nova launcher to stay as a default launcher. If you also want to do so, follow these steps:
1. Go to play store and download the launcher of your choice.
2. Go to your phone Settings.
3. Swipe right to left to go to General settings.
4. Tap on Apps, at the bottom you'll see Default app settings. Tap on it.
4. There you'll see default settings for different apps. Tap on Launcher. All the launchers including the one you installed in step 1 above will be listed there:
5. Tap on the newly installed launcher and select Replace on confirmation dialog. You are done!
Tap on home and you'll see the classic android look with the app drawer.
