Yes You Got It Right, Micromax is the first Indian company to up the sleeves against the Xiaomi's Redmi 1S, it is going to launch the first Android One based smart phone on 8th Sep and it will be exclusively sold thro Snapdeal.com. There is no information about pricing but it we go by the Google's announcement it will be around Rs 6000-7000.
However it should be noted that Google has also sent invites for the Sep 15 event to launch the Android One phones in India. It is important to note that, Android One is google's take on entry level smartphone segment to increase the profit and market share.
Android One will have major impact on customers as they will get better phones with good specifications and latest android versions.
This will also adds to woos of the Samsung and Nokia as they are getting good market share in budget segment.
If we believe the sources then the phone launching on 8th Sep, will hvae 4.5 Inch touch screen, quad core processor with 1 GB RAM. This Dual SIM handset will have 5 Mega Pixel camera and 1750 mAh battery and a expandable memory too. So Google is trying to include everything that a budget smartphone should have.
