Micromax Retains the No 2 Position in Smartphone Sales

Micromax has managed to retain it's No 2 position in India in smartphone sales in Q2 2014, it is closely following the Samsung in competition. Quarter over Quarter results are same, Samsung is on Numero Uno position in both quarters.
Samsung Sold less smartphones if you compare it with Q1, Samsung has sold around 40 lakhs smartphones, and on the other hand, Micromax has sold more smartphones, they have sold approximately 30 lakhs units, thanks to aggressive pricing of Micromax.
Here Surprise entry in the Q2 is Motorola, which is no at No 4 overtaking Nokia ( Microsoft), Motorola, has made superb re-entry in to India market with Moto G, Moto X and recently with the Moto E. Nokia aka Microsoft is now at No 5 in India as far as smartphones are concerned.
It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi, is able to overtake Nokia or Motorola in Q3! riding on the success of Mi-3.
