Google has now officially declared their first and new phablet Nexus 6, the same was declared from a blog and there was no launch event. Motorola will manufacture the new Nexus 6. Nexus 6 will run on the newest and freshest Android OS Android 5.0 which is now called Lollipop. With Nexus 6 Google has also launched Nexus 9 a tablet for tech savvy youth.
Nexus 6 as the name suggest comes with 6 Inch AMOLED touch screen and to be precise the display size is 5.96 inch, it has display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and hence translating in to hefty 493 pixels per inch. Nexus 6 beats the iPhone 6+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 effectively as far as screen size and resolution is concerned.
Display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches.
Nexus 6 is powered by Quad Core Snapdragon 805 which has clock speed of 2.7 GHz along with 3 GB RAM. It will come in to two variants of 32 GB storage and 64 GB storage and there will not be expandable memory slot in the handset.
On the camera front it has 13 Mega Pixel auto focus rear camera with Dual LED ring flash so it is not visible as a separate flash as it normally seen in other handsets. On the front it has 2 Mega Pixel camera for selfie and video chat. Rear camera is capable for 4K video recording.
On the connectivity front it supports, 2G, 3G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and GPS. It supports Nano SIM card. It has dual front firing speakers.
It has 3220 mAh battery which is capable of stand by time of 250 hrs and talk time of 24 hrs.
It will be available in two colors, mid night blue and cloud white. It weigh 184 grams.
As far as prices are concerned, it is priced at Euro 569 and 469 for 32GB and 64 GB versions. It will be available In India by November.
