Speeding up Ubislate / Aakash Tablets...
As you are aware that datawind has used the Cortex A8 processor in their Ubislate series aka Akash devices which is capable to run at 1.2 Ghz but datwind is running at 1 Ghz.
This means that there is a scope to improve performance further, Guyz... What you need to do is...download AnTuTu CPU Master software from Google Play. Ans Super User tool, if you don't have already.
Normally for all this kind of settings you need to root the device, but all tablets from datawind are rooted so you need not worry.
Just have a look at below snap from my tablet.
PS: For smoother functionality Set the clock speed to 1152 MHz. else you will have problem.
Rest all parameters please set as per snap shot.
Reboot the tablet.
After reboot it will give you a warning, click on "Continue anyway".
Enjoy the faster Ubislate.
Since all Indian Tablets are rooted you can use this way to increase speed in Micromax / Penta / Karbonn tablets as well.

I use 2G internet now and heard that with the A116 we can use only 3G internet. Is it true? I wonder whether 3G is available in my area....everything else is cool with this phone...:-) Thanks
